DTC/UDRI and IonQ Present

Hybrid Quantum Computing for Contested Operations

Thursday, October 22, 2026   .   8:00 AM - 3:00 PM   .   The Historic Dayton Engineers Club

Agenda/Session Topics

Welcome Breakfast or Lunch & Networking
Fuel up and connect with peers across the WPAFB community, Digital Transformation Center Partners and Members, and IONQ leadership. We are offering two session options covering the same topics so you can select the time that best fits your schedule.

UDRI Keynote: Accelerating Defense Enterprise Adoption)
Presented by the Digital Transformation Center

Learn how the Quantum Applications for Aerospace and Defense (QuAAD) initiative is creating a vendor-neutral ecosystem where government, industry, academia, and state partners collaborate to evaluate emerging technologies, validate mission-driven applications, strengthen the industrial base, develop the future workforce, and accelerate the transition of innovation into operational capabilities. This session will highlight how the government can identify areas where quantum provides an immediate mission advantage, validate operational use cases, and drastically reduce transition risks.

IonQ Focus 1: Solving Multi-Variable Optimization

Discover how IONQ’s premier Quantum Technologies and Trapped Ion Modalities are uniquely positioned to solve complex optimization and HPC challenges. We will discuss collaborative, mission-driven applications across:

  • Force Deployment & Agile Logistics
  • Target Prioritization & ISR
  • Materiel Science & Medical Advancements

IonQ Focus 2: Atomic-Precision Sensing for the Contested Domain
Presented by the IONQ Sensing Division

Explore cutting-edge atomic-precision hardware designed to maintain Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT). Discover how quantum sensing ensures operational continuity in heavily contested, GPS-denied, or Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP)-degraded environments.

IonQ Focus 3: Quantum Security, Networking, & Cryptography

Building on our ongoing, prime efforts with AFRL Rome, this session tackles the critical domain of Quantum Security and Quantum Networking. We will cover Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), and how our platforms directly address the mandates of the recent White House Executive Order: "Securing the Nation Against Advanced Cryptographic Attacks" (June 22, 2026).
